I believe that the Web is the greatest creation of humankind to date. It is democratic, free, anarchic and beautiful. I read a lot on web-standards, web-development and browsers. I admire companies that work on keeping the web open and free.
I believe that nothing is more important than knowing and caring about what one eats. What and how one eats defines who one is. Whenever I go to a new place I head to the local market. It is the best place to get to know a place. Like a true Bong I have grown up in a family that fusses over food from morning till night. I bake my bread. I churn my mayonnaise (yes, not butter - not yet).
I cannot claim to be a designer, but I care about design. Be it beautifully designed web pages, elegantly type-set books, automobiles, or content - I try to take in as much as I can. I read about typography, design of everyday objects, film credits, anything I can get my hands on.
I love photographs. Taking good photographs require patience, some technical know-how and above all a love for the subject being photographed. While I appreciate the effort and skill required to take photographs of nature, or wildlife, I find them underwhelming.
The photographs I love best are invariably of people or of cities. There is something about the madness of a city and its people that appeals to me.
